COUNCILLOR PLEADS TO COUNCIL NOT TO ALLOW RECYCLE BINS TO OVERFLOW

first_imgDonegal County Councillor Micheal Mac Giolla Easbuig is pleading with the council not to allow recycling banks to overflow at Christmas. The Independent councillor said the banks are often allowed to build up and look unsightly over the festive season.“I have been in contact with Donegal county council in relation to our recycling banks and how at Christmas and New Year they are not emptied often enough. That leads to the surrounding areas at some of the centres ending up very untidy.“I have been told that there has been an extra lorry put in place this year to deal with the problem and that the staff of Donegal county council will be at hand over the holiday period to maintain the centres as well. “We as a community also have a responsibility to make sure that we don’t throw our empty boxes or other rubbish at the centre points. Also we must acknowledge the great work that is being done by volunteers and workers throughout our community to keep the centres clean and tidy all year long.”COUNCILLOR PLEADS TO COUNCIL NOT TO ALLOW RECYCLE BINS TO OVERFLOW was last modified: December 22nd, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:councildonegalrecycling bankslast_img
