The provincial government recentlyordered that ship passengers entering Iloilo must accomplish the so-calledhealth declaration cards. ILOILO – At least 20 non-contactinfrared thermometers will be purchased by the Provincial Health Office. It was suggested that PHO healthworkers will be deployed to operate the thermometers. Arriving ship passengers who havefever, cough, or colds; with history of travel to China, Macau and Hong Kong;and with history of exposure would be considered persons under investigation(PUIs), said Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. The health declaration card is a toolto track the travel history of passengers. The provincial government hiredeight personnel to distribute and collect them from people arriving atseaports. The temperature checks would beimplemented together with the Philippine Coast Guard and the Maritime IndustryAuthority. These would be used to check thetemperature of people arriving via the province’s various seaports in a bid tokeep Iloilo free from the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
