Two men killed in collisions in Westmeath and Clare

first_imgUpdated: 08:16TWO PEOPLE HAVE been killed in separate road collisions in the last 24-hours in Westmeath and Clare.A 36-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the old N6 at Gaulstown, Rochfortbridge between 7.45pm and 8pm yesterday evening. Gardaí said the man was travelling on the road when his motorcycle struck a fence and a stone pillar.His body has been taken to Midlands regional Hospital, Tullamore, where a full post mortem examination will take place.In a separate incident, a man in his 20s was fatally injured when his car collided with a wall at 4.30am today on the Sixmilebridge Road to Shannon in Clare.
